Elmo, back with us in Germany

On our way back to Miami Airport we bought an Elmo at Toys R Us.

Highway 1 - Overseas Highway

On the road - Highway 1
We wondered what we would have to do if one is really crossing...

Breakfast - FrootLoops

First we thought it is only a spelling error (Froot Loops instead of Fruit Loops) - but don't worry there are no fruits inside :-)

... and we saw some dolphins in the sea - swimming by while we had breakfast.

John Pennekamp State Park

Is this a white heron? We think it is.
Bird - who knows its name? Write it in our comments.

Spanish shipwreck - not much left - just the cannons.

Me sitting on a cannon from a spanish shipwreck.
No ship to climb, the playground will have to do.

Iguana - seems not too dangerous - it ran away. Are we dangerous?

John Pennekamp Coral Reef

We visited the John Pennekamp Coral Reef - by glassbottom boat. The coral reef is the 3rd largest coral barrier reef in the world.

Me and the captain! He brought us savely to the edge of the Bermuda Triangle (at least they told us) and back again.

Enjoying our boat trip out to the reef on the sundeck.

The glassbottom of the boat.

A huge brain coral. They told us it is at least 750 years old.
The biggest fish we saw (It is really hard to takepictures on the boat - next time we go with an underwater camera ;-) We learned about the parrot fish - They eat coral rock and after they digested this it becomes sand - see

Flipper Dolphin Show

Surfing on dolphins - did you know that works?

Be careful - today the dolphins are flying low.

Standing on two dolphins - a quick way to get around.
If dolphines eat the wrong things (e.g. a crab) someone has to get them out.

Seal Show

Seal to the rescue.

Seals are very clever animals. They can climb stairs, use a slide and dive.

Top Deck Dolphin Show

A performance to admire - dolphins are increadible.

Did you know? Dolphins can walk on water.

Trip to the Seaquarium in Miami

American schoolbus at the Seaquarium in Miami
Original sized whale tail, and by the way his heart is heavier than our family.
